Horsey

Horsey is an idyllic village hamlet close to the coast near Great Yarmouth. The village is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a wildlife haven. The remote, sandy stretch of beach is scattered with large rocks and backed by softly rolling sand dunes. The area is very popular with bird watchers and naturalists as there is an abundance of sea birds and wildlife here, including some rare species of plants and flowers on the nature reserve at Horsey Mere. In December many visitors come to see the seal colonies which descend to the beach and dunes to give birth and rear their pups.
