The patter of tiger feet welcomed at Banham Zoo!

Banham Zoo has produced the first pair of Siberian tiger cubs born on the international breeding programme from its resident adults Sveta and Kuzma. In the wild these now very rare and magnificent creatures are normally found near the Amur River in Russia, and are also known as Amur Tigers.

Bottoms Up! for the 3rd Norwich City of Ale Festival

Norwich is about to launch the City of Ale festival for the third year running and organisers have planned to hold the opening ceremony on the 23rd May at St Gregory's Church in the City. The event will close on the 1st June and hopes to encourage more trade for local pubs and clubs.

Blooming ‘Broads’ may well be on the cards!

The stunning Norfolk Broads is the chosen site for a trial using new technological methods to improve and enrich the waters at Cromes Broad. A clay based product is being added to the water to reduce the production of algae and so encourage the growth of new plants which should in turn increase new species and numbers of wildlife to the area.

Jane Hall is one lady who knows what she likes when it comes to seaside traditions. Her art work has been attracting attention in an all female artist exhibition being held in London. Most of her colourful works depict ice cream cones and other traditional seaside treats and bring home the old fashioned values of the British coast.

Bright spark kids light up Thetford Forest!

Rojo Art have come together with Norfolk schoolchildren to create a unique collection of Eco friendly works of art made from plastic bottles and boxes. The idea is to create a spectacular light show using recycled household containers as decorations for the trees at High Lodge, which is the venue chosen by the East Anglian art company.

A Norfolk farmer has gone a step further than most and employed a human scarecrow to protect his oilseed rape seedlings from hungry Partridges. The services of local graduate Jamie Fox have been engaged by farmer William Young in a last ditch attempt to save his valuable crop.
