Wroxham, situated on the south bank of the river Bure, is known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads and sits opposite Hoveton St John which is effectively part of the same village but on the opposite river bank. Boats of all shapes and sizes are available for hire from here and have been since the first boat hire business started in 1878. There are over 100 miles of navigable lakes, rivers and waterways to explore, a really excellent way to see the abundant local wildlife. Boat tours are available if you fancy seeing the broads with someone else doing the steering!
