Walking is a great outdoor pursuit that is both rewarding and inexpensive. Norfolk has some of the very best walks available that go through a wide variety of terrains, forests, heaths, Fens and of course the shoreline. There is a mass of information available including guides and maps that you can download to pre-plan your walking experience and make it even more rewarding.

Some of the most popular walks are the Weavers Way, a 57 mile trip from Cromer to Great Yarmouth and taking in a couple of National Trust estates on the way, the Peddars Way, 47 miles and follows an ancient Roman road and Marriotts Way, a 21 mile walk with some great bird watching opportunities along the way. There are a whole host of shorter and circular paths and trails to explore too.
