Great Houses & Halls

There are numerous historic properties and halls in Norfolk; you will be spoilt for choice!

Some fantastic National Trust buildings can be found in the Norfolk countryside including Houghton Hall where the surrounding parkland is home to an unusual herd of white deer and there is also a five acre walled garden waiting to be discovered. Not to be missed is the beautiful Oxburgh Hall which is an original 15th century redbrick manor house and the incredible library at Felbrigg Hall.

The old merchant's hall - Dragon Hall located in Norwich is definitely worth a look, but you must go inside and see the stunning hand carved dragon.

Step back in time and visit Grime Graves where you can find out what is was like in the Stone Age, there are plenty of other English Heritage sites to visit too. Or why not spot one of the famous windmills which dominate the Norfolk landscape.
