Airborne Pursuits

There are a number of flying clubs where you can book a trial flight, an ideal and fun way to see Norfolk from the air. Some offer 4 seat trainers so all the family can join in. If that isn't enough, you can try a trial microlite flight, wings but no sides! If you need even more excitement how about a tandem parachute jump? A 20 minute flight takes you up to 10 000 feet, then jump out of a perfectly good airplane for a 120mph buzz followed by 6 minutes of peace, drifting across the Norfolk countryside.

If you want to keep your feet firmly on the ground, there are miles of beaches ideal for kite flying, or you can go plane spotting at Norwich International Airport. Model aeroplanes flyers are well catered for in Norfolk with a number of flying clubs and venues.

For a really relaxing way to see Norfolk with all the family, try a hot air balloon trip. Drifting silently over the countryside, hearing the faint sounds of wildlife and activities below is simply intoxicating and a great way to spend a day.
